There was a man in the state of Chu who was engaged in sacrificial activities. After the sacrifice, take out a pot of wine for the door people to drink.
When the door people saw that there was only one pot of wine, they agreed with each other, “this pot of wine is not enough for several people to drink together; if one person drinks it, there will be some surplus. We can draw snakes on the ground together. Whoever draws the snake first will drink the pot of wine. “
So, we found branches and tiles and quickly drew them on the ground.
A man drew a snake first, and was about to drink it when he picked up the wine. He found that no one else had finished the painting, so he held the wine pot in one hand, and then drew again in the other hand. While drawing, he said triumphantly, “I can also add some feet to the snake! “
Before he had finished drawing the snake’s feet, another man had finished drawing the snake. He grabbed the wine pot and said, “the snake has no feet. How can you draw feet for it? “
After that, he raised his neck and gulped up the wine. The man who added feet to the snake stood beside him, looking blankly at the loss of a chance to drink.
